Liam Hemsworth was unable to attend the 2019 Grammys with wife Miley Cyrus after reportedly falling ill. The Isn’t It Romantic actor missed a press junket and the awards show after landing in the hospital.
Isn’t It Romantic costar Rebel Wilson told reporters at the film’s junket in Beverly Hills that the actor wasn’t feeling well.
“He’s texted us this morning. He was in hospital overnight, so hopefully he will be fine,” costar Wilson revealed during an interview with Extra on Sunday, February 10. A rep for Warner Brothers confirmed to People that Hemsworth was indeed not feeling well and had to miss the press day on Sunday.
The actor has been busy as late, promoting the film in various locations.
In his absence, Miley walked the Grammys red carpet with parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus . The songstress stole the show at the Grammys, performing alongside both Shawn Mendes and Dolly Parton .
Hemsworth and Miley tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Nashville this past December. The newlywed revealed on Live With Kelly and Ryan on Friday, February 8, that the “We Can’t Stop” singer took his last name after their wedding.
“[She is] Miley Ray Hemsworth now, actually,” he said. “She will still be obviously known as Miley Cyrus, but she took my name, which is great,” he adorably shared. “… She was like, ‘No, of course I’m taking your name.’”
