Chrissy Teigen recently underwent surgery to lower her hairline and startled fans with snaps of her head in large bandages.
Photos obtained by Page Six show the Sports Illustrated model sitting in a hospital bed with her forehead and jaw wrapped in gauze. Teigen debuted her surprising post-surgery look during an Instagram Live on Thursday (May 22) before explaining why she was in the hospital.
Fans immediately commented on the live to ask if she was okay.
"A lot of you are wondering about my hospital pic which is very understandable as I gave no explanation lol," she wrote on her Instagram Story the next day.
"I had a hairline lowering procedure. lost a lot in the front from babies and it’s just very thin up there. When you see it on a carpet, it’s ALWAYS extensions." The mother-of-four, married to pop sensation John Legend, assured she would "share more later" as the entire situation was a "journey."
Teigen has yet to offer an update on her hairline nearly a week after the procedure took place.
The standout has been very open about cosmetic procedures she's had done over the years, including a breast augmentation and liposuction. The Cravings cookbook author drew attention to her breast scars in a 2024 Instagram Post, captioning a photo of herself in a sheer dress, "When the flash hits your boob lift scars..."
