Tom Brady Doesn't Realize It's 4th Down, Bucs Lose In Chicago

The Buccaneers traveled to Chicago for a Thursday night matchup with the Bears. Tom Brady and the Bucs controlled the first quarter. The first drive of the game led to a field goal, with Brady throwing completions to rookie Tyler Johnson and Jaydon Mickens. Tampa Bay got the ball back up 3-0 When Brady found Mike Evans in the endzone. The touchdown play was a 0.30 yard completion.

Nick Foles came into the game without winning a start since January 6th, 2019 when he was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles defeating the Chicago Bears in the playoffs ironically enough. That game is famously known in Chicago as the "Double Doink" game. Foles didn't look great for much of the first half, but as you and I know when he is cold, he is cold, when he gets hot, he gets hot, and he got hot.

Momentum of the game turned when Chicago CB, Kyle Fuller was penalized. The flag was later picked up, the play was then called a fumble by rookie running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn and Chicago took over deep in Tampa Bay territory. Foles tossed a touchdown to tight end Jimmy Graham to go into the locker room up 14-13.

Controversial call took place with 3:53 left in the 4th quarter. Shaq Barrett of the Buccaneers gets called for a roughing the passer penalty, which should not have been called. Instead of a Bears punt, it turned into a first down.

Tom Brady and the offense got the ball back with just over a minute to go and began the march down field. Brady on the final attempt to keep Tampa Bay's hopes alive threw an incomplete pass on 4th down thinking it was only 3rd down. Brady was clearly unhappy when he got back to the sidelines, that wasn't the first time the Quarterbacks frustrations kicked in tonight.

Chicago came into the game a 4 point underdog and comes out with a win defeating Tom Brady and Bucs 20-19
