Miley Cyrus is finally setting the record straight on whether she threw shade at Jennifer Lawerence in her "Flowers" music video.
In the 2023 video for her Grammy-winning song, Cyrus wore a vintage gold lamé Saint Laurent gown that some fans thought resembled Lawrence's golden look for the 2012 premiere of The Hunger Games, which also starred Cyrus' now-ex husband Liam Hemsworth. The Australian actor and the Plastic Hearts singer were in an off phase of their on-and-off relationship at the time and rumors swirled that he had cheated on Cyrus with his co-star, per People.
While signing autographs outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, Cyrus was seen in a video shared online responding to a fan who asked if the dress she wore in her music video was a reference to the Oscar winner. She officially put the rumor to rest and even praised the gown, replying, "No, but I love that dress of hers."

Lawrence herself has even addressed the rumored fling she reportedly had with her co-star during a 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Though she admitted they "kissed one time" while filming a scene for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 years after Hemsworth and Cyrus had broken up, she called it a "total rumor" that their relationship went further than that.
Cyrus appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about her upcoming album Something Beautiful. During the chat, she also revealed that she got a "brutal infection" last year while filming a music video and ended up in the hospital.
