Last night on Bachelor in Paradise, it was revealed that a crew member from the show had been carrying on an affair with one of the contestants … and that he broke both of his legs when he jumped from a 25-foot balcony to avoid being caught.

So naturally, we had to have host Chris Harrison call in and give us all the details on the juicy reality TV scandal.

“It’s only fitting that his last name was Putz,” joked Harrison when he called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday. “It fits so well. As you saw last night, it was great when we interviewed him  in the hospital bed, both his legs are in a cast, and we said, ‘Can we get your first and last name?’ and he said, ‘Putz. Ryan Putz.’”

Unfortunately for Bachelor-Bachelorette fans, there was not video of the moment in question, but there was a strange reenactment with a dummy that aired on Monday’s episode.

“We thought, ‘How can we make this so grandiose and crazy as to encapsulate the bizarre behavior that just took place?’” explains Chris. “It was hysterical.”

Other than Putz’s “pride and dignity,” Chris adds that the audio tech is okay. “At least, as good as he was coming into this show, which wasn’t very good.”

Bachelor in Paradise airs on ABC every Monday at 8/7c.
