(San Franciso, CA)  --  Apple is taking the wraps off its new operating system, iOS 8.  Apple CEO Tim Cook told people at the company's annual developers conference in San Francisco today that it's a "giant release."  It will revamp the system's notification system and more seamlessly integrate with iCloud.  The keyboard will have predictive word suggestions that will make it possible to write an entire sentence with just a few taps.  Apple also unveiled a new app called "Healthkit" that will collect and analyze health information about its users.  There were no major hardware announcements.
